ST. CHARLES, Mo. (November 27, 2025) — The St. Louis Ambush open their 2025-26 Major Arena Soccer League campaign on Black Friday, welcoming Missouri rival Kansas City Comets to The Family Arena on November 28 at 5:05 p.m.

St. Louis enters the new season looking to build on a strong second-half surge from 2024-25. After starting 3-9-0, the Ambush rebounded with an impressive 8-3-1 finish to clinch a postseason berth. Kansas City posted a 15-7-2 regular-season record, and like the Ambush, earned a playoff spot before falling in its single-elimination matchup. In last year’s series, the Comets held a 4-0-1 advantage over St. Louis — a stat the Ambush are determined to flip this season.

The Ambush return much of their core, including top scorers Duduca Carvalho, William Eskay, Lucas Almeida, and James Thomas, along with veteran goalkeeper Paulo Nascimento.

Kansas City also brings back several key contributors. Rian Marques remains sidelined for Friday due to a one-game suspension carried over from last season, but Zach Reget, Ignacio Flores, Leonardo Acosta, and goalkeepers Nicolau Neto and Phillip Ejimadu are all set to return.

As expected when these cross-state rivals meet, fans can anticipate an intense, fast-paced matchup to kick off the new season.

The two teams won’t have to wait long for a rematch. St. Louis and Kansas City face off again the following night for the Comets’ home opener at Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence on November 29 at 6:05 p.m. CT.

Tickets for the 2025-26 season — including season packages, group options, and single-game seats — are available now. For details, contact the Ambush office at 636-477-6363. Stay updated on all team news at stlambush.com and on the Ambush’s official social media channels.
