Olivia Thomas signs with NWSL’s Denver Summit

DENVER, Colo. — Flint City AFC alumnus Olivia Thomas has signed her first professional contract with National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) expansion side Denver Summit FC, the club announced.

Thomas joins the first-division professional ranks after three standout seasons at NC State University, where she won an NCAA national championship and earned multiple individual honors. A native of Grosse Pointe, Michigan, Thomas was a key figure for Flint City AFC during the club’s historic 2023 season, helping lead the team to its first division title in the USL W League.

Denver Summit FC and Thomas are both set to make their NWSL debuts in 2026. The young forward has signed a contract through 2028, which includes a mutual option for the 2029 season.

“The opportunity to begin my professional career with a new club, alongside such an ambitious vision, is something I’m really looking forward to,” Thomas said in Denver Summit’s official release announcing the signing. “I’m ready to keep growing and competing at the highest level.”

Thomas enjoyed a dominant collegiate campaign in 2024, earning College Cup Most Outstanding Offensive Player and All-Tournament Team honors. She finished the season with 13 goals and seven assists, securing ACC First Team recognition.

Her progression from Flint City AFC to the professional game continues the club’s growing reputation as a development pathway for players pursuing careers at the highest levels of women’s soccer.
