HAMTRAMCK, Mich. – No one loves a stalemate on the soccer pitch.

But for Detroit area rivals Union FC Macomb and Detroit City FC, that scoreline will have to do.

The two Great Lakes Division neighbors played to a 0-0 tie Saturday night at Keyworth Stadium, and scoring chances were few and far between.

Sophie Homan (University of Michigan) recorded her clean sheet for Union, which moved to 1-1-1 on the season.
Allison LaPoint (Central Michigan University) gained the shutout for Detroit City FC (0-1-1).

Detroit City FC won the Great Lakes Division last season, while this is the first season for Union FC Macomb.
