The UPSL Spring 2025 National Playoffs have reached their climax, with four teams remaining in the hunt for the semi-pro national championship. These final contenders are set for a historic showdown at the UPSL National Finals, which will take place at Championship Soccer Stadium in Irvine, Calif., in less than two weeks.

LA10 Football Club (Los Angeles, Calif.) has secured its first-ever trip to the UPSL National Finals. Owned by Italian football legend Alessandro Del Piero, the pro-development club has dominated the season, scoring an impressive 52 goals and conceding just two during the regular season. After falling short in last year’s quarterfinals, LA10 FC is back stronger, having defeated Pacific Northwest powerhouse Deportivo Rose City. With one of the most dangerous attacks in the country, the LA-based squad is ready to compete for the national championship in Irvine, Calif.

Tennessee Tempo FC (Nashville, Tenn.) returns to the national spotlight, making its second appearance at the UPSL National Finals since Spring 2022. Tempo secured their spot with a hard-fought victory over Miami United, Florida’s top semi-pro team. Head Coach Gift Ndam praised the unity and resilience of his team, saying, "It’s been an amazing ride so far, fighting, defending, working together... We believe we can do anything we put our minds to. This is about our entire team—we’re stronger together. We’re ready for the challenge ahead. Everything is one game at a time."

Chicago Nation FC (Chicago, Ill.) has once again shown their consistency at the national level, earning a spot in the UPSL National Finals after a big win over East Coast contenders New York Braveheart. As the Midwest Central-North runners-up, Chicago Nation boasts one of the toughest defenses in the league, allowing just six goals in the regular season. Their playoff run has included victories over strong opponents like Detroit City FC, New York Shocker, and NY Braveheart. Undefeated on the road, the team heads to Irvine, Calif., with redemption on their minds after falling short in last year’s semifinal.

Balboa FC (Fort Worth, Texas) has made one of the most electrifying runs to the UPSL National Finals. Entering the playoffs as the third-place team from Texas North, Balboa pulled off stunning upsets over top regional teams, including Sporting NTX, Foro SC, Little Rock Rangers, and Houston FC. Their narrow 1-0 victory over St. Croix Soccer Club secured their first-ever appearance at the national finals. In just two years in the UPSL, Balboa has become a team to watch, with a fearless mentality that has made them a dark horse favorite heading into the finals.

The UPSL National Finals weekend kicks off on Friday, August 8, with the National Semifinals, followed by the National Championship Final on Sunday, August 10, at Championship Soccer Stadium in Irvine, Calif.
